A mouth-watering cocktail inspired by blood oranges enveloping a unique citrus flavour, flaming redhead colour and just the right amount of kick from Buderim Ginger Refresher cordial. Rumour has it Margarita Sames, a wealthy Dallas socialite, claimed she whipped up the drink for friends at her Acapulco vacation home in 1948. Among her well-connected guests was Tommy Hilton, who eventually added the drink to the bar menu at his hotel chain. This fiery red and oh so delicious twist on a classic was whipped up for us by Elle Toop (cocktail maker of the year finalist on Urban List).
